Annual Report 2021

FROM DIALOGUE TO IMPACT.

As always, you need the right questions if you want to find solutions. This time, we are not only asking the experts, but also the next generation – Generation Z:

What do you think the world of tomorrow will look like? What do you want from politicians and entrepreneurs? What can and would you do yourselves? How can we make the world a safe place to live? How would you promote a global WE? How can we filter dirty air and make it pleasant to breathe? How can we get from A to B in the future? And how can we continue to travel and get to know our world? Who do you want to be one day? What does the world need? Which professions will help us save the world together?

With the help of “Die Zukunftsbauer” (The Future Builders), grade 8 and 12 students of the IGS List in Hanover and the Alfred Müller Armack Vocational College in Cologne, as well as middle school students of the Montessori School in Penzberg, came up with some impressive and surprising answers.

RESOURCES Clerofyn Scientist

New raw materials thanks to artists

Clerofyn Scientists develop new plastic alternatives. The idea came after scientists and artists experimented together, by means of open innovation and collaboration. In the future, it will be normal for artists and scientists to develop ideas together. The traditional “lab profile” is seldom found here. Passion counts more than academic titles. This is where tinkering, art, communication, and science come together in a unique manner.

INDUSTRY Bio-dropper

New drive technology and less bio-waste

The Bio-dropper has developed an alternative drive model that uses biomass from leftover food. These small capsules, like Smarties, are inserted into the car to power the engine.

Illustration
Translation: 1. What is your shared vision? Answer: Cars no longer run on gasoline but on energy from biomass. 2. Which transformation(s) are you interested in? What does your profession contribute? Answer: Urban transition. 3. Which fields of work is your fictitious profession involved in? Answer: Agriculture. 4. Which areas of life does your fictitious profession affect, and in which areas does it serve society? Answer: The profession serves society as it provides better health, as no harmful gases are emitted by biomass. 5. Our fictitious profession is called: Bio-dropper. 8. Why is your profession so important? How does it change our world? Answer: Gasoline is not only becoming more and more expensive but is also harming the environment. If cars were powered by biomass, the environment would not be harmed as much.
  • MOBILITY PhotoSynth Car Builder

    More oxygen

PhotoSynth Car Builders have developed a solution in which cars produce oxygen while being driven – “We are climate positive”. The idea was copied from nature, from photosynthesis. The CO2 that cars actually emit is converted directly into oxygen through photosynthesis, so that our cities are full of good air.

    Illustration
Translation: Mission utopia - feelings: optimistic, motivated, brave, curious, everything “negative”, excited, my future.
    Illustration
Translation: 2 - Why do you feel this way? Think about it more carefully, start a short self-reflection with the following beginning: When I think about my future, I feel very / somewhat / a little .... , because / as ... Answer: When I think about my future, I feel open to the future, because I don’t know what to expect. The only “stupid” thing would be if Earth was destroyed. Question: Station 1 - My future challenge. The challenge..........scares me most of all because.......... Answer: I am particularly frightened by the challenge of climate change, because it could be that the various “transitions” we make to reduce the burden on the environment are unsuccessful. And as a result, our world would no longer be fit to live in.
    Illustration
Translation: 1. What is your shared vision? Answer: Mobility transition. A car with a renewable drive which produces oxygen. They are climate positive. 2. Which transformation(s) are you interested in? What does your profession contribute? Answer: PhotoSynth produces cars that run on CO2. They do this by photosynthesizing plants in the car. 3. Which fields of work is your fictitious profession involved in? Answer: Transportation, science, climate protection, renewable energies. 4. Which areas of life does your fictitious profession affect, and in which areas does it serve society? Answer: It ensures that cars produce oxygen and consume CO2. It is emission-free and quiet. 5. Our fictitious profession is called: PhotoSynth Car Builder. 8. Why is your profession so important? How does it change our world? Answer: It helps mitigate the greenhouse gases generated by ordinary vehicles.

    URBANITY Teraforming City Manager

    Intelligent town planning

The Teraforming City Managers in the Metaverse are urban planners who test ideas in the Metaverse before they are implemented in real life. The main focus is on designing infrastructure: more drones and bikes, fewer cars. Ultimately, the cityscape should be characterized by more nature and more deceleration. The Metaverse can be used to discover and test new possibilities, which would not be possible without this technology.

MetaVerse?! The possible dream jobs of the future
There could be many new jobs in the MetaVerse (Fig.1). But let's start from scratch. What is the MetaVerse? A metaverse is a consistent and persistent digital space created by the convergence of virtual, augmented and physical reality - including the sum of all virtual worlds, augmented reality and the Internet. In the MetaVerse, laws, campaigns, buildings or programs, or almost anything can be tried out, and pre-existing algorithms can be used to play out such scenarios. And now about our profession: it focuses on testing ideas to improve the infrastructure or the environmental policy of a city.

  • URBANITY Underwater Architect

    New living spaces

The Underwater Architect develops new housing complexes under water as an alternative living space to life on earth. The aim is to avoid mistakes made in the design of cities on the ground and to develop sustainable ideas for them right from the start.

    Illustration

    MOBILITY Air Tunnel Builder

    Alternative transportation

Air Tunnel Builders have developed a system in which goods are transported via air tunnels in cities of the future. This will make cities cleaner and quieter, as goods will no longer have to be transported by vehicles.

    ENERGY CO2 Waste Collection Manager

    Cleaner air

The CO2 waste collection system sucks CO2 out of apartments if there is too much of it and not enough oxygen. The CO2 is collected in a canister. This is then plugged into the CO2 waste collection truck and the air is exchanged. At the end of the process, the canister is filled with fresh oxygen, which flows back into the apartment.

    Illustration
Translation left picture: The process can also be operated from the outside via the control panel. The tanks are inserted into the feed chute where the conversion takes place. The conversion process is controlled from the cockpit. The truck glides through the streets using repulsors. The conversion takes place in the large tank.
Translation right picture: CO2 waste collection will be needed if there are no trees left in the year 2070, as trees are important for survival. Currently, over 15 billion trees are cut down every year, so there is a chance that in 2070 we will have no trees to convert CO2 into oxygen that we need to breathe. That is why we thought of creating a mobile CO2 converter. In 2070, people (in our concept) will have an oxygen canister which they connect to their ventilation system. The ventilation system will then use the oxygen and fill the canister with the CO2 from the rooms. The CO2 converter transforms the CO2 into oxygen and the canister can be used again with fresh oxygen.

PROSPERITY AND CONSUMPTION Security Manager for Peace in the EU

    More security

The Security Management Team for Peace in the EU uses cutting-edge technology to prevent and avoid crime. Similar to China, they use a point system and can quickly detect if criminals commit new crimes.

    Illustration
Translation: Business card of the security manager. We watch over you and protect you. The security manager is always there for you, day or night. For a safe Europe.
    Illustration
    Translation: Vision/implementation
This profession aims to reduce crime in the EU and thus reduce the chance of war. We have taken an example from the Chinese point system. Our idea was that each person has, for example, 100 points and points are then deducted for each violation of rules and laws. Depending on the score, there are consequences such as a ban on leaving the country, higher taxes or, in the worst case, a prison sentence. If you do good things then points are credited to your account. If you reach a positive points total (over 100 points), you are rewarded with lower taxes, etc. By setting up cameras throughout the EU and establishing a monitoring center in every city in the EU, your identity and score can be displayed by scanning your face. If there are any violations, the offender will be quickly identified. Identities and the respective point accounts are stored on large servers. In the case of wanted persons, a warning signal is displayed to officers sitting in the monitoring center that there is an open arrest warrant against the respective persons.
    Job description
Every city in the EU has a large, modern monitoring center in a government building, similar to an office building. In our profession, you work for the government. Teamwork and a high level of attention are required. You are responsible for analyzing data, supervising computer systems and monitoring all people in the EU (especially criminals). The job requires men to wear suits and women to wear suits or long skirts with jackets because they work for the government. You need cameras, computers and databases to monitor people. Depending on how long you work there, you earn more or less. You also work in shifts, so you get extra pay for night shifts or working on public holidays. After completing the probationary period, you are made a civil servant. The starting salary is €2,500 gross per month and can increase up to €6,000 gross depending on your rank. You should have good knowledge in the field of IT. In addition, you should have a good technical understanding, as well as a high level of attention and dedication. You should be a team player and be able to withstand strong psychological stress.

PROSPERITY AND CONSUMPTION Human Equality Center

    More security
