Melitta® INSIGHTS is the digital portal created by Melitta Professional Coffee Solutions to provide its customers with a wealth of information. From the café round the corner to international hotel chains: Melitta® INSIGHTS provides deep insights into the performance and status of their respective coffee machines. It can easily and conveniently provide owners with information, for example, on consumer behavior, popular choices, and preferred creations – for each individual outlet or for specific regions. Melitta® INSIGHTS can therefore provide owners with valuable insights into how they can optimize their business.

The operating division aims to expand its portfolio of products and services while also strengthening its customer support as a solution provider for the profitable expansion of their coffee business.
Market and business trends in 2020
The COVID-19 pandemic adversely affected the global activities of MPCS during the fiscal year 2020. Nevertheless, sales were only marginally down on the prior-year figure. Thanks in part to its technical customer service – which even achieved a slight year-on-year increase in sales – Melitta Professional Coffee Solutions performed significantly better than the market average. The year was also dominated by investments in the long-term development of the business: these included the launch of the “Melitta INSIGHTS” digital customer portal, which enables customers to manage their coffee business even more effectively. In addition, the operating division rolled out its coffee range in the Netherlands and Australia, meaning that the complete portfolio of products and services is now offered in five countries.
Outlook 2021
The coronavirus pandemic’s impact on business is likely to continue in the fiscal year 2021. Nevertheless, Melitta Professional Coffee Solutions aims to further increase its share of sales generated outside Germany. In order to achieve this, it will set up new national subsidiaries, strengthen cooperation and the sharing of expertise between individual national subsidiaries, and also intensify collaboration with other operating divisions of the Melitta Group in 2021. There are also plans to expand the portfolio with the addition of new coffee blends, coffee machines, and offerings for the “Melitta INSIGHTS” customer portal, and to develop the existing range of finance solutions.
